Hello Pleasure Beach

We hope you are enjoying the wonderful sunshine and warm water temps.
A few items to keep in mind.

Please be respectful of all beach goers - pick up your cigarette butts, food scraps, and any other trash.  The items left behind attracts unnecessary animals and harms our beautiful beach.
Mother Bird Feeding Baby a Cigarette Butt:
Household trash is not allowed in the trash cans at the beach - we have nowhere to dispose of large household items (broken chairs or umbrellas).  Please take them home to discard.

Spring 2019

Hello Pleasure Beach Members!

We are excited about the 2019 beach season.   Allow me to introduce some people:

Heather Toyen - President
Colin Gourlie - VP
Donna Calabro - Financial Secretary, Membership
Ed Luukko - Treasurer
Mimi Woods - Secretary
Bill Brett - Beach Manager
Anne Darling - Social Coordinator

We welcome Bill Brett as our new Beach Manager.  Bill is a long time PB member and avid beach goer.  Bill will be responsible for many aspects of keeping peace, order, and fun at PB.

We are always looking for members to become involved and volunteers to help with the various events and chores that arise throughout the season.  Please contact us if you are able to help.

We are pleased to announce that membership rates will not increase this year. We have several social events planned for the season and we look forward to seeing everyone throughout the summer.

Beach Clean up is June 15 @ 9:00am - bring rakes, gloves, garden tools.   All are encouraged to attend and help out.

Badge pick-up will be May 18 & June 15 @ 10:00am - 12:00pm, on the beach.

The official first weekend of the 2019 season will be June 22 & 23. Prior to that, please use your 2018 badges if you have not yet secured your 2019 tags.  As in the past, we will have security checking names and badges as you enter the beach parking lot.  Security will have a membership list to verify beach goers.

A note from your Financial Secretary:
Spring Greetings, neighbors! Regarding your 2019 membership, please complete your assessments (online please) BEFORE opening day, June 22nd. The 2019 badges (yellow) will be required from that day forward.  Also, please double check your assessment form before submitting to make sure all info is included. Please direct questions to our email.  Thanks much and see you on the beach!  -Donna Calabro

A note from your Social Coordinator:
Hello! Please see the calendar of events on our website. The beach picnic will be back to the traditional BBQ with potluck sides and dessert. I need volunteers to assist with cooking, set up, clean up, and so forth. There will be a kid-centered event and I am looking for some input from members with young children. We are trying something new this year - a Clambake. This event will NOT be covered by the association.  It will be paid for out of pocket.  If enough members are interested, we will have the event catered. Thanks!  -Anne Darling

Thank you and cheers to a fabulous summer!

President
